This website has been created with one simple premise in mind: to uphold the promise of every established artist/producer/music industry exec who has ever uttered the words "I'm Gonna Put You On." Despite the fact that it doesn't happen as often as we'd like to see it, WeBuildHits.com is here to prove that there are those out there willing to use their connections and years of experience in the music business to bring forth the future of Urban Music.
The idea may not be new… but our approach certainly is.
We Build Hits!
Some of the most recognizable and talented music producers have banded together on a global level to make the same level of production that helped them craft the careers of today's superstars accessible to the members of the WeBuildHits.com community of unsigned and independent artists. As members of the site, these artists will have the opportunity to download original tracks by the likes of ______________________; record a verse, hook, or song, and upload it their contribution to share with listeners across the world.
Every two weeks, one of our producers will enter the studio and build a hit during a live webcast, selecting, example, a hook from an artist in Germany, a verse from an artist in the US and another verse from an artist from New Zealand.
Once the record is complete, the WeBuildHits.com staff - consisting of mixshow and college radio promoters, new media marketing professionals, and other industry execs - will service the finished product to radio, mixtape, mixshow, club and satellite radio DJs the world over. They will also use the site's innate social media component, as well as other popular internet outlets to help the artists involved develop a following and build that ever important "buzz factor."
Contest
Every three months, one lucky member of the WeBuildHits.com family will be given the chance to be featured on an upcoming project by an established artist. A song crafted by one of our producers for this establish act will be uploaded to the site, and members will have a small window of opportunity to submit their official contribution to the track - be it a hook or verse.
Mixtape Appearance Opportunities
Each month, one of the 500+ mixtape DJs in the WeBuildHits.com network will select artists that have officially registered with the site to be featured on mixtapes to be distributed in their established markets. And with DJs worldwide, the exposure is unlimited.
All product created through the WeBuildHits.com module, as well as a regular newsletter showcasing our most promising members and the professionals involved with this revolutionary project, will be sent to record executives, program directors, members of the media and other tastemakers courtesy of proven "record breakers" like East Coast Digital Marekting Clock Work Music and ripcityentertainment who, collectively, currently reach no less than 130,000 registered members… In other words: people who are willing and able to further an up-and-coming artist's career.
